Life’s A Gas
LIFE’S A GAS
I could have loved you girl
Like a planet
I could have chained your heart
To a star
But it really doesn’t matter at all
But it really doesn’t matter at all
Life’s a gas. I hope it’s gonna last.
I could have built a house
On the ocean
I could placed your love
In the sky
I could have turned you
Into a priestess
I could have burned
Your fate in the sand
But it really doesn’t matter at all
No it really doesn’t matter at all
Life’s a gas. I hope it’s gonna last.

Cloak full of eagles – BP Fallon & Marc Bolan arriving at Rosenberg Studios in Copenhagen and being met by tour manager Mick O’Halloran April 27th 1972. Photography by Jørgen Angel
Marc and Mickey and BP had just flown into Denmark from Munich via Frankfurt – they were in Germany for Bravo Magazine’s ‘Otto Awards’ – and are here arriving at Rosenberg Studios straight from Copenhagen airport to meet up with Tony Visconti, Steve Currie, Bill Legend and Mick O’Halloran who’d all flown in from London earlier. Recording began almost immediately, bearing sonic gold easy action in tracks like ‘Chariot Choogle’ and ‘Buick Mackane’ and the electric version of ‘Sunken Rags’. More magic…
