Video: BP Fallon ‘I Believe In Elvis Presley’ live in NYC with The MSGs
Until we gather the amazing footage and stills of BP Fallon & His Band playing at the two-country Crossing Border festival in Holland and Belgium… here’s a little foreplay:
The sound is messy but the vibe is brill. Note how the punters cheer when they recognise the song. This historic event took place at the John Varvatos store – site of CBGB – on New York’s Bowery, where The Madison Square Gardeners were launching their splendid new EP ‘Taste The Thunder’
Aaron Lee Tasjan – guitarist in BP Fallon & His Band as well as in The MSGs – invited BP to join The MSGs at the end of their New York set, a few days before the BPF band’s Crossing Border dates in Europe.
Musical incest: after playing guitar with The Madison Square Gardeners on Fallon’s ‘Fame #9 (excerpt)’ and ‘I Believe In Elvis Presley’, Aaron played drums on BP’s encore song ‘Van & Gloria’ – while the drummer in BP’s band at Crossing Border Mark Stepro is the bass-player in The MSGs…
Will the circle be unbroken? Yes. There is much more magic to be had 🙂
With thanks to ALT and to the mighty Mistress Of Movies Pamela Romanowsky for the vibey vid x
