BP Fallon & His Band play at the Crossing Border festival in Holland and Belgium this weekend Fri/Sat/Sun Nov 19/20/21.
Joining Mr Fallon and his combo for the two-country festival – which takes place in The Hague in Holland and Antwerp in Belgium – are Villagers, The National, Spoon etc etc.
The band for this European adventure are BP Fallon (vox), Aaron Lee Tasjan (guitar), Nigel Harrison (bass) and Mark Stepro (drums). Mark is new to the fold and is best known for his work with Evan Dando/The Lemonheads, while scorching guitar-slinger Aaron Lee Tasjan has played with The New York Dolls and Nigel Harrison was in Blondie – and with Debbie Harry wrote many of the Blondie hits including ‘One Way Or Another’ and ‘Union City Blue’.
Speaking from the band’s rehearsal space in New York, BP Fallon says ”Is it a cliché to say I’m over the moon? I’m so fucking excited about this jaunt with the chaps to Crossing Border – the first time we’ll have played outside of America. Fuck yeah!”
Crossing Border is the biggest music-and-spoken word festival in the world – it’s been going for eighteen years – and everyone from Allen Ginsberg and Lou Reed to Patti Smith and Salman Rushdie to, uh, Coldplay have appeared at this prestigious event.
