BP Fallon: ‘I Believe In Elvis Presley’ THE VIDEO
The latest work by esteemed director Shimmy Marcus…
Shot in New York, in Dublin and at All Tomorrow’s Parties in England’s Somerset, at times the video bows to Bob Dylan’s classic ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ clip by DA Pennebaker with its use of lyric boards displayed by Miss B and Jennifer McLawthorn who are joined by the mysterious Shea Prueger plus Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream, Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine and the sublime singer Gemma Hayes.
Shimmy Marcus previously directed BP Fallon – as the drug-dealing sage Blowback – in the award-winning film ‘Headrush’.
‘I Believe In Elvis Presley’ – words by BPF with music by BPF and sometime-New York Doll Aaron Lee Tasjan – is one of the three cuts on Fallon’s debut 45 single on Third Man Records. The other tracks are the spoken word piece ‘Fame #9’ – written by BPF – and BP Fallon Interview by Jack White.
The record is produced by Jack White III.

Amazing video! The girl dressed as BP is stunning. All the girls are stunning. So refreshing to have a video where the girls are cool and sexy without all that corny tits and bum stuff. Director Shimmy Marcus is as hip as BPFallon. – Klaus

Peter Fallon is a wonderful poet and his group Tara Telephone were the seeds of Horslips – but I didn’t know his elder sibling BP was a poet too until now. What a talented pair!

I’m confused. Is this Jack White of the White Stripes/Dead Weather etc. and who is Jack White III? What is his part in this. Is he playing guitar.
Anyway, whoever/whatever I love it
February 3, 2010 @ 4:36 pm
Hi JaJa!
Jack White is Jack White III who is Jack White.
Jack White uses III when he produces, like with The White Stripes and one BP Fallon 🙂
Jack White III is the producer of my ‘Fame #9’ single. His label – which I’m honoured to be on – is Third Man Records.
Jack White plays guitars on the record and mixed it with Vance Powell and designed the cover with Miles Johnson.
Life’s a gas.

How cool discovering who BP Fallon is.
Peeps help me out, I’m terrible w/lyrics, even with cue cards. What is he saying when he’s speaking on the “Elvis” song.
I want to be BP Fallon when I grow up
