Tony James is King Of The Bootleg DJs, making up his own fantastic roof-raising mixes that mash-up the likes of The Undertones melded with Underworld, The Streets and The Ruts or The Stooges, John Lennon, Salt'n'Peppa and Eddie Cochran all rocking together on one wild track - or the combined force of BRMC-Heartbreakers-Generation X-Led Zeppelin! Frank Sinatra singing with The MC5! Leonard Cohen with Guns N' Roses! Amazing stuff!!!

Tony's first band was The London SS with Mick Jones who formed The Clash and Brian James who formed The Damned. Tony teamed up with Billy Idol to create Generation X, scoring raucous hits like King Rocker and Ready Steady Go before turning the music business upside down with Sigue Sigue Sputnik - a group most certainly ahead of its time, marrying as it did the ethos of T.Rex with the sonic of Giorgio Moroder. And the futuristic SS Sputnik smash Love Missile F-11 could well be a soundtrack to today's explosive world. And! Tony James was bassplayer with Johnny Thunders! Tony takes time out from recording with his life-long pal Mick Jones to DJ his unique mash-up mixes at Death Disco.

At the Death Disco parties, Tony James also played for the very first time ever in public some of the music he is recording with ex Clash man Mick Jones!
