DEATH
DISCO NEW YORK FREAKS OUT
cont...
Earlier
in the salacious soiree, Death Disco had hosted Afro-Punk's
Tribute To Bad Brains - with Kimya
Dawson from Moldy Peaches, all grinnerama
and upfulness, simply glowing.
Upstairs, with DJ Mojo later sharing turntable honours,
Joly from Punkcast.com
in full VJ mode screened live footage shot by him of everybody
from Joe Strummer and Ssion to The Kills
and The Libertines. And downstairs in the basement
mixing up the medicine young English band The
Primms - who, good God, hail from Crawley,
much to the delight of Kate who was born a few miles
away in Croydon - they came on stage and killed.
Just great.
Such
a night, ooh it really was, such a night. Dancing and chancing
and whatever you're having yerself. I'll be a rock'n'rollin'
bitch for you. And the disc jockey jamboree with the two
bald ol' Celts and Kate was the ear-candy candles
on the cake. That was no DJ, that was crazy cosmic jive
