JAIME COON MOVIE STAR!

Jaime Coon plays a cameo role in the new Shimmy Marcus drugs-cops-gangsters-and-love comedy caper Headrush. Playing the girlfriend of the guru Blowback - who dispenses prime weed as well as sage advice - Jaime shot her part in the movie in Ireland at Ardmore Studios.

Blowback is played by DJ/photographer/writer/rock guru BP Fallon. Also in the highly-anticipated film are Stephen Berkoff, Huey Morgan from The Fun Lovin' Criminals, Gavin Kelty, Wuzza Conlon, Laura Pyper and Tom Hickey.

Says the award-winning Headrush writer/director Shimmy Marcus: "I first saw Jaime Coon when she was DJing at Death Disco in Dublin last summer, playing her Ramones set in tribute to Joey and Dee Dee. It was so perfect that like The Ramones she comes from New York and had flown over to Ireland to do this - a fittingly beautiful conduit for Joey Ramone, his voice through her records. The energy coming off her and the way she looked down at us from the stage like a DJing Joan Of Arc... I just stood at the front of the stage, awe-struck!

Jaime made her screen debut in the underground cult movie Woken Sleep, which she shot in Seattle with the notorious film-maker Niko Sluzki.

Headrush is premiered in Ireland on Sat July 12 at The Galway Film Festival.
