$149.99? Silly money for rare vinyl honey

Posted by BP Fallon on Thursday Feb 11, 2010 Under BP Fallon

eBay has revealed this little bargain:

BP Fallon’s ‘Fame #9′ rare white, yellow and black tricolour vinyl 7″ 45 – only 150 of these records were pressed at United Record Pressing in Nashville with 100 sold in person at the Third Man Records store in Nashville at $5 each and 50 of these tricolour singles inserted randomly into world-wide mail-orders…

This tricolour ‘Fame #9′ 7″ baby is only $149.99 plus shipping!
Cheap at half the price.

We’re very happy with our black vinyl one – $5 plus shipping

Or the three fab tracks on iTunes this very second for 2.97

We’re happy anyway. We wish you the same. Happy everything.

I’m very happy with my tricolor one – it’ll pay my kid’s way through college yet!

I’m happy with my tri-color. They really do look great!

I’m nearly beginning to feel socially inferior. Mustn’t panic. See, I don’t have a tricolor vinyl of BP’s record. Oh, yes, I hoped a white and gold and black one would jump out as I tore open the package from Third Man Records in Nashville but no, it was a humble black vinyl 7″ 45, exactly the same as, say, Elvis’ ‘Mystery Train’ or Dylan’s ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ and a million others both crap and brilliant. And wow the first-ever three-sided 45! And the first in Jack White’s ‘Spoken Word Instructional Series 001′. And the fade-out groove on ‘Fame #9′ where BP goes “I love you, Elvis I love you, Elvis I love you, Elvis I love you…” round and round and round until you lift the needle. Mad! And two tracks on the ‘B’; Jack White and BP talking on one channel and then on the other channel THE SONG!!! Jack White really went on a wild one here with BP Fallon and it’s turned out tremendously. Anyway to cut a longer story short… I’ve fallen in love with my black vinyl ‘Fame #9′ 45. I’m nearly sure the tricolors don’t sound any better. And I downloaded it on iTunes. I’m a proper savage for this punishment.
